For the last 4 years Green Cottages Kitchen have taught baking and cookery workshops, specialising in Sourdough and bread making.
This starter means you can get straight on your Sourdough baking journey, without the faff of creating your own starter dough. It’s NOT dehydrated. It’s ready to go. Instructions for how to care for your starter dough are included. You can add on our Sourdough Bread Recipe or Pizza Recipe. These recipes are easy to follow; they are the recipes we use when we teach bread making in our workshops

Approx 85g weight - remember its not the quantity that is important but the yeast content!

The starter contains live active natural yeast. It will bubble and release gas so jars are partially filled to allow for bubbly expansion space during travel.
